The show is headed to Hartford, and here's an article from CTNOW in advance of its arrival:

Actually, it is at The Palace in Waterbury, about a one hour drive west of The Bushnell in Hartford, on I-84.

Disney has released new publicity photos from the Newsies tour, including these which Glenn Cook has posted on his Facebook.

On Sunday, December 14, ABC will air Backstage with Disney on Broadway: Celebrating 20 Years, a one-hour special about the making of their eight Broadway musicals. "Newsies" is one of the musicals featured, and look whose photo is included in the ad. :D

Oh thanks for that! I'll be sure to DVR it! I dare say I love Newsies about as much as I love Billy! It's definitely become one of my favourite shows, and the music is really very good.

I will be forced to record the broadcast myself...

Given I have a front row seat for "Newsies" at the Oriental Theater in Chicago.

It's a sell out...tickets were not cheap...but so much look forward to the show and watching Ben do his thing. What a treat!

Here's a story about the diehard fans, mostly teenage girls, who line up in freezing temperatures to meet cast members of "Newsies". Ben Cook appears in a couple of these photos. Those of us who saw BETM in Chicago back in 2010 will recognize this alley.

Saw "Newsies" in Chicago tonight (and no, I didn't camp out over-night in the alley behind the theater !) It was fun being back at the Oriental Theater again for the first time since I saw "Billy Elliot" there in late 2014 (has it really been 4 years since the show ended in Chicago ?!) As always, the show was very enjoyable. It was interesting comparing the tour cast to the one I had seen several times on Broadway. Needless to say, it was a real crowd-pleaser.

As mentioned in the article, there was a very big crowd gathered in the alley behind the theater after the show. Each newsie was treated like a rock star when they came out the stage door, as there were high-pitched shrieks for each of them. Pretty dedicated crowd to brave the cold (about 32 degrees) and stand back there in a long line awaiting autographs and pictures. To their credit, the cast greeted everyone who was in line to see them. I had a chance to offer a quick hello and congratuations to Ben, who seems to really be enjoying himself. It's fun to see his singing, dancing, and acting skills on display once again for a whole new audience.

Newsies has arrived in Orlando for a brief, one week run at the beautiful, new Dr Phillip's Center (2731 seats). According the the theater's website, every show is sold out - not surprising, with Orlando's tourist numbers and the Disney connections:
