This Sam Mendes produced musical based on Dahl's book is due to open at the London Palladium in the Autumn of 2013. Songs by Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman (Hairspray), libretto by David Greig and choreography by Billy Elliot's Peter Darling
Scrooge is set to fill in the gap between Oz and Charlie at the Palladium

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory will now open at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane following Shrek, which is closing there on Feb 24th 2013
Drury Lane has much more room to house this large and complex show, compared to the Palladium where it was originally due to open

Auditions for Charlie and the Chocolate Factory young performers take place in London on 29th September, Manchester 6th October and London 11th October.
