Folks, just a reminder that this is the thread for the London production of Book of Mormon.

Based on the recommendations about the show from NY and the tour, I am expecting that some of our London members will be tempted to see the show there.

The Chicago cast of BOM created this video as a gift to the London company to wish them a happy opening night.
Anyone who might be offended at exaggerated British stereotypes should not watch this.

I'm going to see this in a few weeks, I am so excited! Just curious, does anyone know if the London cast are putting on American accents? I assume that they are, but some shows don't change their accent so I thought I'd ask anyway.
"She must have been a very special woman..."
"No, she was just me mam."

According to this article, BOM is breaking box office sales records in London. If you want to see it, better plan way ahead.

I must give a shout-out to a former student who went to the middle school where I teach - Brian Sears - who is now playing the role of Elder Cunningham in London. I saw him in a local dinner theater production of "The Sound of Music" a few years ago and he was very good. Guess you never know where your students are going to end up as adults when they're 13 and 14 years old, but glad he's finding success ! http://www.bookofmormonlondon.com/show

Thanks for the kind words, Sean, although I think he got where he is more on his acting/singing talent as opposed to any Algebra I might have taught him !

Finally, the stars have aligned.

I will be sitting front and a way bit to the side of this show on November 30th.

It's one of those rare times when I schedule a show other than BETM on a night when BETM is going on. Now that the Billy Board at the VPT has been moved, I won't even be tempted to take a gander at it that afternoon and be upset.

Yeah, it's taken years for me to get around to it, but my Mormon experience will be the first non-BETM theatre I enjoy after I gorge on Billy the first 4 nights in town.

Yes, you will - it's still visible from the outside. But I'm sure you're gonna love BOM anyway! ;)
