Coming to Iceland

Post by Lola »

Looks like there will be a production in Iceland, starting in March 2015. First auditions took place last weekend.
According to the articles below Lee Proud (former resident choreographer in London) and Elizabeth Greasley were at the auditions.
Of course I don't understand a word. Does by any chance some forum member understand Icelandic? :D

This is terrific news! For us Forum members in North America, Icelandair offers flights from Canada and the United States to London which allow people to stop over free in Iceland either coming or going for up to seven days.

So you could take in the 10th anniversary show in London and the one in Iceland on a single airline ticket. Sounds like a plan.

What a great idea! And it breaks a long trip into two manageable shorter hops.

Yes, wow, I was planning to see Iceland soon. Had a stopover there last year but no time to leave the airport. The only question is : If I see all the european productions, I won't have holidays left to see BETM in London.
And will I find the time to learn Icelandic ???? :o

"Frozen Hawaii", that sounds like the name of an ice cream treat, or maybe a drink.

Looks like they already found boys to play the part. The production company posted this photo on facebook
and I think the caption means those boys will go to a Billy Elliot School all summer and at the end of summer it will be decided who will get which part. Thanks, google-translator! ;)

Looks like this production will definitely take place. Should it get its own thread?
