A nice article about Elliot, and the award he and others have won:

The youngster, who shares the role of Billy’s best friend Michael with three other boys, impressed judges at the Manchester Theatre Awards so much that they awarded all four boys the award of Best Newcomer.

"Mak'em" is an informal name for residents of and people from Sunderland, a city in North East England. Spelling variations include "Mackem", "Makem", and "Maccam". It is also a name for the local accent (not to be confused with Geordie); and for a fan, whatever their origin, of Sunderland A.F.C.

just [art of the intro
Elliot was recognised at the Manchester Theatre Awards alongside three other boys who share the part of Michael - Billy’s best friend in the much-loved tale.

He is the youngest ever to take on the role and he is enjoying making it his own as the musical - inspired by the 2000 North East-set film, written by Newcastle-born Lee Hall and starring Jamie Bell - enjoys a nationwide tour.

Elliot will play Bruce in the upcoming tour of Matilda the Musical. Congrats, Elliot! I think he will fit the part perfectly!

I saw Matilda at The Cambridge in London a week or so ago and at the time thought that Elliot would be ideally suited to this role, so I am not that surprised. It so happens that Jeroen Luiten is the resident choreographer on Matilda, as he was on Billy. A word in someone’s ear possibly ? Elliot showed in one of the promotional Billy videos in Hamburg what a fine singer he is, and I’m sure he will belt out “Revolting” in strong voice. The clip is from a rehearsal of the original production in Stratford upon Avon at the RSC theatre.
