Saw him for my first time as Dad on Saturday.

I recognised him from when I saw 'Pitmen Painters' a couple of years back.

I really liked his portrayal.

Having not seen any other Jackie Elliot I have no-one to compare him to, but must say that I really enjoyed his performance, some very funny moments and expressions particularly in the RBS auditions :D Will look forward to seeing him perform again.

I love Deka as Dad! Saw him four times now and I think he's getting funnier every time I'm watching him. Love that scene with the ballett dancer and his laughing after Billy's Electricity! :)
For me, he's the perfect Dad!

Here's a nice video interview with Deka by broadway.com. It seems to have been recorded after the 7th birthday of the show in London, but I can't remember previously seeing it. If it's been posted elsewhere, I apologize, but it's a wonderful interview worth seeing again if you have.
