Tommie conducted a "Celebrate Tap, NYC" workshop this weekend and posted this public album on Facebook. Among BETM cast members I spotted are: Trent Kowalik, Alex Dreier, Joseph Harrington, and Sam Poon.

Reality show "Storage Wars - New York" debuted last night on the History Network. It is a spinoff of the other Storage Wars shows. In one of the storage lockers two ladies found an old pair of tap shoes. They decided to get them appraised. The expert appraiser they found was Thommie Retter. Thommie got 3 or 4 minutes of air time explaining the finer points of these shoes and putting a value on them. He then taught the ladies a few dance moves. All of the action occurred in his studio.

On this Sunday, August 3rd, Thommie is directing a birthday celebration for friend Peter French, which is also fundraising event for the Portland (Maine) Community Theatre and Preble Street, a resource center servicing the homeless and those in need in the South Portland area. Called The Big Maine Event, it will be held at the Portland Players theatre in South Portland, ME. Among others, the program will feature many former members of the Broadway cast of BETM, includinig three former Billys (Jacob Clemente, Peter Mazurowski and Trent Kowalik).
