Here's a cute story about Elton's love for classic records (i.e. Elvis, Sinatra, etc.) and his surprise visit to a store in Las Vegas that specializes in such fare:

Borrobil wrote:I'm thinking they could be from the original production company "Billy London limited" possibly backers rather than fans? (from the way it's phrased.)
I can't see Elton sitting down with fans, but a share holders, and producers junket that's different.
Well either my invitation got lost or this theory is correct.

It just finished (two hours). Sir Elton gave a stunning performance. Sometimes, when he speaks in public, off the cuff, he looks a little uncomfortable, but today he was assured, very clear, and humble. One bit of his testimony had him speak for nigh on five minutes about the stigma associated with HIV/AIDs, and the entire room was stunned by its content. It was his 'Electricity' moment.....and he even managed to drop the f-bomb (much to the amusement of the committee) not out of disrespect, but out of passion. It was encouraging to see how close he was with another member, Evangelical megachurch Pastor Rick Warren. This was a hearing that transcended religion and politics - it was about humanity.

eltonjohnworld.com confirms the rumor (is that an oxymoron?) that BETM may become a film.

Not only is a film of Sir Elton's life in the works, but he has confirmed that a musical version will be produced by the same team that produced BETM. Current plans are that it will premiere on Broadway before moving to the West End.
