Please God no! Please Mr Daldry don't do this to me or yourself. The crazy mania that surrounds the Twilight Saga drives me up the wall! You are so much better than this! I always referred to you as the God of Billy Elliot! Oh boy....I'm getting emotional...perhaps I should go lie down.

It has been reported on facebook tha tStephen Daldry is to appear on the Andrew Marr show on BBC 1 tomorrow at 9-10am, not sure what he is talking about but I am sure that the 5th birthday may be mentioned.
It is a great show that people do come and see. Because it's not
just a show for adults, or just for children, or just for people that
like theatre, I'd say for everyone, and it's got so much emotion
behind it. Because who ever comes and sees it, feels the story -
so I think: it's brilliant!" (GM)

I hope someone will record his segment and post for those of us who can't watch the BBC, even online.

I've only seen one Twilight movie and I couldn't see what all the fuss was about. It was awful.

Anyway maybe he could improve the image of it? It could also look good on his CV and increase the general mainstream publics awareness of him. Up to now he hasn't done loads of movies, but what he has done has been excellent. Quality not quantity I suppose! :? :)

Of three films he has directed, he was nominated for Oscar three times. Not too bad for a CV in my opinion.

Concluding from this: Twilight is heading for an Oscar? ;)

Well...having read all 4 books way back in my fangirly years , I can say BD is by far the worst of the four. All are pretty bad, but the storyline for BD is just...

It'll take A LOT more than a good directer for that movie to get an Oscar!

Yeah I read it too, I don't think I was a fangirl, but I read the first one, so had to continue at the insistence of friends, but yeah the 4th especially was just really silly, and well dull. The writing really annoyed me. Hope he doesn't do it. I only saw the first film, and thought it was terrible.
Stephen can do so much better!
