Re: Stephen Daldry
Great article by Stephen recounting his week beginning on the 9th of June. He left the after party at 2AM, went home and packed, and got on a plane to Tokyo!!!!!

Did he say that BETM is closing in Australia? Closing for good?

Yes, the Melbourne show will have its final performance on Sunday, June 14. It played just shy of a year in Sydney before opening in Melbourne, where it has played since December. It is not closing because of declining audiences, but because of a limited contract at Her Majesty's Theatre. The run in Oz has never been an open-ended one as it is in London and NY.

Re: Stephen Daldry
As I don’t know where else to post it:
Due to German newspapers and TV reported two days ago the German youngster who played the title role in Stepen Daldry’s last movie “The Reader” (as the young partner of Kate Winslet) - David Kross - has just started his three-years performing arts studies at the “London Academie of Music and Dramatic Arts - LAMDA”!! He said that he wants to take theatre roles on stage in the future in addition to being in movies, and that he can’t think of getting on stage without a solid vocational education and training. And as a side-effect he hopes to learn to speak English without accent during these years - so that he might not always be limited to get Nazi roles in international films, ha-ha.
Sadly the article I found is only in German:
http://www.bild.de/BILD/unterhaltung/te ... 95156.html
But here is a great interview of David and Stephen on “The Reader”:

And some general info on David:

And here the link to LAMDA:
