The difference you don't get anything from the politicians once they are elected, but we have a great production no matter if they would win or not. :)
But I think Billy should win the award! So, please vote! :)

I wish the company would think the audience was important other times as well...

You have to understand that in 2015 UK they are subject to quite extraordinary EXTERNAL pressures.

(Example of clipboards harrassing Billy care removed)

Two people working for the police would have lost their jobs if they had attempted a rescue of some kids that fell into a pond. They hadn't "been trained".

Foster parents cannot keep photos... ordinary photos... of kids they take into their homes and foster.

A teacher in a residential special school restrained a 15 year old who was trying to throw himself out a third floor window. He was suspended and under a cloud for 3 months... do you ever escape that kind of cloud? The police never interviewed the man's co-worker, witness to the incident, co-signatory of the report in the "incident book", the report made long before the youth accused the teacher of groping him in the course of restraining him.

What I meant was the 10th anniversary show - I wish they communicated their plans.
Just in case I took a day off for the 12th May so I can fly over to London in case of a late announcement of available tickets :)

We are veering well away from the subject of this thread - the Olivier Awards!

Indeed, and we ask members not to pass on rumors about the Billy House (or anything else, for that matter) either.

Please remember that this thread is about the Olivier Audience Award, not about the 10th Anniversary. It is also not about anyone's "rights" as a fan of the show. It is time to give the whinging about the company's decisions a rest, both here and in the 10th Anniversary thread. It's understandable that people are frustrated about the lack of 10th Anniversary information and the misfires with ticket sales, but going on and on isn't going to change anything.

He may have finished as Billy, but Matteo has asked us to vote for Billy Elliot the Musical in this year's Olivier Awards!

Can the 2015 Olivier Awards be seen in the US?

Can the 2015 Olivier Awards be seen in the US?

Now that BETM is on the list of nominees for the audience award, I was wondering if anyone (other than NSA employees) will be able to see the broadcast in the US?

I'd bet that some talented person here will find a way to cap a few minutes of the show should BETM win that audience award, and post it someplace (and let the rest of us know where to find it).

I'd buy a UK television licence if it made watching anything other than BBC America possible.

Looks like it wasn't meant to be this year for BETM. Congratulations to the company of "Wicked".
A huge well done to @WickedUK for winning the Audience Award. Thank you to all the Billyvers who voted, you're amazing! #Oliviers
