Possible New Billy?

Post by ERinVA »

CHEEKY Monkey star Charlie Dixon has been selected to take part in training to be a West End star.

Charlie, from Nelson, wowed judges at auditions in Leeds and London to be selected to live in the Billy Elliot house where he could be selected to be the next Billy in the smash hit musical.

Reading on in the article, I see that Charlie is only nine.

Ha! I loved the cheeky monkeys, they were so cute and actually really good. Obviously I don't know what he's like now a year on but thinking of him on BGT I could actually picture him being a Dean style Michael..

Is this the Squeeky Monkey kid? The names are different, but the age and face are the same.

That's a different kid. The article says he is from Yorkshire. According to the article about Charlie Dixon, the Cheeky Monkey kid, he is from Lancashire.

I'm not quite sure where we post about future Billys now, but I can report seeing a very promising young man, Rhys, at the Centrepointe (Matthew Koon's dance school) show on Sunday. We were told that he has been training for Billy, and was shortly off to Billy school in London. If anyone is going to the All England dance finals next week, you will see him in a contemporary dance number called Jungle, with 2 girls. I was impressed with his ballet technique in 2 pieces we saw on Sunday. No tap numbers though. Good luck Rhys...
