As an LA resident, I will attest to the lateness factor. I have YET to see a show, at the Pantages, Ahmanson, etc. that doesn't start at least ten minutes late. And even then, people still wander in later. Traffic around that area is especially irritating, so definitely arrive early. There are great places to eat and drink nearby. Wood and Vine and the W hotel are right across the street. Sunset and Vine have great restaurants as well.

I'll be there tonight. Can't wait.

From the unusually high number of tweets I saw, LA absolutely loved the official Opening Night at BETM LA last night. Many celebrities in the audience. Kat Hennesey tweeted that the after party was at Delphine:

You may want to take a look at Ticketmaster again. They may have released some seats as there are now several good seats available during the last week.

There were a number of Hollywood celebrities who attended last night's Opening Night/Press Night event at Pantages and walked the red carpet. An organization called The World Monitor TV captured video of their arrival at the event.

Here's Andie MacDowell: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lu3kLw5c ... ure=relmfu

Other celebrities captured on the red carpet for whom you can find video at the World Monitor TV Youtube site are: Katrina Law, Bai Ling, Elaine Hendrix, Masiela Lusha, Korrina Rico, Chelsie Hightower, Anna Trebunskaya, Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli and Lisa Vanderpump.

More red carpet video from last night - the Billys on the carpet with a snippet from JP featured. And, if you watch closely, you might see a former Billy who is a Tony Award winner for the role  :

It sounds like the LA stop is going very well indeed. I'm glad to hear the show is being well-received in such a major US city. That's a good sign, for sure.

Just finished watching all of those videos and looking through the pictures. Wow! The buzz is huge! Feels like it was when Broadway opened! I wonder what possibilities there were/are for a long-run troupe stop in LA instead of just 5 weeks.
