Just out of curiosity, did Lex have multiple half-shows? Because last week I heard that he had just done his 100th performance but this total says otherwise.

I was wondering how long it would take for someone to notice this.

To answer your question, Lex had one partial show -- the one that shows up in his total of 97.5, from when he came on for Act 2 in a show started by Michael Dameski on November 27, 2010 in Cleveland. So even if someone wanted to say he was in 98 shows, that's still two short of 100. I have no idea where the 100 came from and have sort of given up on trying to figure out what people associated with the show are counting. They often throw a number out with no detail (i.e. milestone anniversaries and number of performances by a Billy). All I know is what the detail shows here in the tracking threads. You don't have to take my word for it, you can go back through the threads (all the way to October of 2010 when Lex debuted) and count for yourself.

The first I heard of the 100 count came from my source on the tour when I was shown a picture of Lex with his cake. It surprised me as I knew he hadn't reached 100, but I dutifully went back over the numbers four times to make sure there wasn't some mistake. At that point, realizing the Forum numbers appeared correct, I just decided not to make an issue of it. I mean they had given him a cake and made a big deal out of it -- so what would be the point of my raising the issue? I there and then decided not to mention it here or elsewhere unless the issue was raised by someone else, which you have done rootbeer.

In short, I stand by the 97.5 number. To me, numbers can only be relied upon if they can be backed by verifiable detail. I'll go with the numbers we have here on the forum anytime, as the detail is clear and available for all to see and verify. If anyone wants to compare detail and point out where we are in error, I'd be very happy to accommodate them. My internal detail is backed by multiple spreadsheets that match the individual Billy totals to the total show counts for each production of BETM. In this case, all shows are accounted for, with each individual Billy's total adding up to the total number of performances by BETM US Tour.

Who knows? Maybe someone at the show intentionally padded the numbers as a sort of consolation to Lex to help with his feelings about leaving the show. All I know is this is the one and only time I will talk about the issue here. It serves no purpose to do otherwise.

Thanks for the response.
I believe this forum does a fantastic job in keeping track of the performances so I was confused at the discrepancy.

All the credit goes to porschesrule, and to clue, who originally began tracking the performances. Without them, we would not have the Tracking Threads.

I stand corrected, however, this week in Fort Lauderdale they are doing 9, 3 Matinees for some reason. That's what confused me...sorry

That's okay, no need to be sorry. I just checked the FLL schedule, and there was a matinee on Thursday, March 1, but no evening performance. So I think that means there are still only eight performances this week.

Regarding your other questions, I moved your post, and my answer, to this thread: http://www.billyelliottheforum.me.uk/fo ... 051#p70051
