What a weekend!

Cherri and I are safely back in Columbia, Maryland after a long car trip home. It was weekend filled with emotions. It was great to meet so many friends, old and new, who share the passion!

I saw four top notch performances.

I felt full on the drive home. It was that kind of experience!

I cannot quite believe the US tour is over.

Thank you to EVERYONE who made this weekend so special!

I feel like a novice compared to most members of the forum, but I enjoyed meeting everyone, especially during the dinner. I appreciate the warm welcome. It was nice meeting Maria, CJ Rochester, Atreyu, Angelroute, and so many others.

I finally made it home at 8pm Monday. My flight to Pittsburgh was delayed for four hours! Mechanical problems, they said. But that was a small thing when I think of the wonderful memories I have of meeting so many friends and seeing five great performances of Billy Elliot.

It was truly a wonderful time in Hartford. With the exception of travel delays for the trip home, the weather blessed us, and so did everyone connected with the Billy Elliot Tour. The shows were excellent, and the cast could not have been friendlier in talking to us and granting photos at the stage door. That company has been a "class act" all around. It was great to see old forum friends and meet new ones. I wouldn't have missed the past few days for the world!

Sorry that it took me all week, but I finally uploaded the photos I took in Hartford. Some may be similar to ones posted by Billy Whiz and Fifemajor. I also played tourist one afternoon and got some nice pics of the beautiful park and state capitol that are right by the theater. Enjoy!

On June 19th, a group of young people, members of Hartford's Youth Scholars Foundation program, attended a performance of BETM at the Bushnell:

I would love to see some reviews from these kids, wouldn't you?

Yes! I enjoy all knowledgable reviews, but I find the few reviews that we get from young people to be especially inspiring.
