Here's a first... the Tour will make a one night stop in Sioux Falls on March 16, 2013. The show will be presented at the 1,800 seat Mary W. Sommervold Hall at the Washington Pavilion.

A few days break from the long trip from Florida to Alberta; and maybe make a few bucks in Sioux Falls to pay for the diesel fuel for the six tractor trailers. But there is no way that a one day stop can be profitable.

With about 3 weeks to go, there are many open seats still left at Washington Pavillion - I might opine too many. Saturday night looks to be mostly sold out, but both Saturday and Sunday matinee performances look like a virtual ghost town with great front row seats still available. It looks to me like it is hovering around the 30-35% capacity for both performances and have yet to open the balcony seats. WP uses dynamic pricing but $52 front row, non-obstructed seats is a fantastic bargain!

Time for Sioux Falls publicity to do its job! Those tickets are a bargain! I note that the first matinee begins an hour later than normal (3.00) - considering that the drive from Peoria to Sioux Falls is under eight hours, the cast can travel by bus, which must be cheaper than flying.

It would be too bad if they don't sell it out. They are there for only one day, after all. 8-)

Wait, there seems to be some conflicting information. I thought this stop was for just one performance on Saturday the 16th (presumably in the evening)? Why then would tickets be on sale for Saturday or Sunday matinee? Did they add more performances?

In answer to my above question, it appears additional performances were added at some point, although never reflected in this thread nor on the forum's main tour schedule thread.

Unfortunately, the front row is underneath the stage :( but you do get a fantastic view of the pit crew.

(just kidding)

They don't look obstructed to me!

kport: I agree that WP should do a better job at marketing this. Minneapolis and Omaha are not too far away and they both had great runs.
