Congrats to Billy Elliot Choreographer Kurt Froman . . . he was acknowledged by Natalie Portman in her Best Actress acceptance speech at the Academy Awards last night. Kurt was the Associate Choreographer on Black Swan.

This interview, with Tour Resident Choreographer Kurt Froman, was done by the Dallas/Ft. Worth TV station WFAA on its "Good Morning Texas" program:

That was an excellent interview. What strikes me about BETM is the fact that everyone involved with it has so much passion for not only their particular job, but for the story itself. BETM seems to really stand out in this way.

Thanks for posting this. It makes me appreciate this production that much more. I've never anticipated a show so much before.

Another nice article about resident choreographer Kurt Froman, this time from Front Row Magazine. Included is a good picture of Kurt working in rehearsal with Kylend and Daniel:

Kurt has posted this video (3 weeks ago) of him and Michael Dameski rehearsing "Dream Ballet" during the 2nd Tour.
I enjoyed it immensely to watch this - and to watch them perform the part with the wire without the wire was somehow amusing :D
