Tonight marks the first full show for Cal as Small Boy after doing a couple of shows over the weekend where he appeared just in the first act.

Kat Hennessey (Dead Mum) posted this cute photo of Cal in his Christmas outfit prior to the start of Act 2 last night in Boston.

This is so cute! Cal gave his first public performance of "Electricity" at a recent Hootenanny. You can see Ben watching in the background looking like a very proud coach and big brother. Cal definitely appears to be the US version of Dean Charles Chapman. :D

Thank you for finding and posting that CJ-Rochester. It brightened my day. I saw the video of Cal and Ben doing the Dream Ballet at a Hootenanny and was amazed. This is really impressive. I'll say this again on the forum... It looks like the cast of BETM can train their own replacements. Great job Cal! And great teaching Ben.

Just watched that and I'm so glad I did. I have to admit, I wasn't expecting much, but I was proven soooooo wrong (clearly not the first time). What an amazing job!!!!!!!

That was really good.

Excuse my ignorance, but what's a Hootenanny?

I wouldn't know exactly what it is either. Wikipedia has this entry: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hootenanny which makes sense, especially under the short "Events" section which says, "that featured an open mic and welcomed performers known and unknown, young and old."

I get the impression the theatre group performs this hootenanny now and then to highlight each other's talents and perform for one another in a private setting. Really, really cool!
