Between Billy engagements Jamie will appear this summer in CAMP ROLLING HILLS, at the New York Musical Festival (NYMF) in August. Among this star-studded cast are Sophia Gennusa, one of Broadway's original Matildas, and Beatrice Tulchin, former ballet girl.

Re: Jamie Mann - Billy: Maltz Jupiter/Norwell/Manchester/Fulton
In browsing through the forum archives, I have come to recognize my total lack of comment about Jamie and his very successful Billy career. As he enters what appears to be his final week of performing the role I must express a number of thoughts in appreciation of the wonderful job he has done.
It has been a privilege to see the four productions that had Jamie in them and although I have been less than impressed with a lot of the compromises particularly in the choreography of those productions, two consistent positives have been Jamie's excellent singing and his thoroughly charming portrayal of Billy. More so than many others, it is real easy for the audience to understand and relate to Billy and his plight with Jamie as lead actor.
It was especially impressive to see the extent to which Jamie anchored the Norwell and Manchester productions as the only principal to have BETM experience. In this respect, it's a challenge that even Billys on Broadway or London did not have to face since they always had strong, experienced castmates supporting them. One of the most amusing examples of deviations off script was the actual line delivered in one performance "They're not looking for someone who jumped from the eye of Zeus, they're looking for potential." Although this is relatively innocuous, a number of times there were gaffes that required Jamie to get things back on track and that is precisely what Jamie was able to do.
And so, in his final production at the Fulton, since Jamie does have well-experienced BETM pros around him and the guidance of Adam Pelty, it is truly a delight to watch this confident, age-appropriate Billy deliver on all aspects of the role, choreography included. I will go so far as to state that this week at the Fulton will see performances by Jamie that rank among the very best (count with one hand) of the regionals, past, present and future. Jamie is really good!

Jamie joins the ranks of former Billys who become Newsies. He has been cast in the Staples Players production, which will play November 9-18 in his home town of Westport, CT. Jamie's little brother Cameron will play Les.
