The New Hampshire School of Ballet will perform "The Nutcracker" twice during the holiday period.

The ballet, complete with a growing tree and falling snow, can be seen on Friday, Dec. 20, at the Concord City Auditorium.

Tickets for the 7 p.m. show are available by calling NHSB or at the door.

The second performance is on Friday, Dec. 27, at 7 p.m. at the Palace Theatre, Manchester.

Tickets are $15 and are available at the Palace Theatre website or box office.

The role of the Nutcracker Prince will be danced by 16 year old Bow resident Peter Mazurowski.

Mazurowski recently returned from New York City, where he was the lead in Broadway's "Billy Elliot" for two years.

Peter has posted a video on Instagram in which he talks about his passion for dance. There are some great clips of his recent performances. He has grown into quite a fantastic dancer!

Here is Peter's bio from Charlotte Ballet, in Charlotte, NC, where he is in his fifth season with the company:

As a former resident of the Charlotte area for many years, I was excited to learn that the Charlotte Ballet is benefitting from Peter's talents. :D

Yay! North Carolina has become one of my homes away from home the past 10 years or so. This winter will be 10 years already since the tour went to Charlotte. Time flies! I flew down for Michael Dameski's last show in January 2011, and was lucky enough to see Giuseppe Bausilio and Lex Ishimoto perform that weekend too. Michael's last show is also when I met a new friend from North Carolina through this forum, who has since stayed at my house multiple times and who I saw here in Kernersville, NC just this past week, as I'm here for Thanksgiving with my partner's mom and dad*.

I follow Peter on Instagram, and am so happy he's found a happy home with the Charlotte Ballet! I hope to see and support him, as well as other young stars of the show from different productions, for many years to come!

-Sean

*Rest assured, my partner and I are quarantining for two weeks and getting tested after our drive back up to Long Island on the 28th.
