Three former Billys, Drew Minard, Daniel Patrick Russell and Mitch Tobin will he honored as part of the Outstanding Ensemble Award to the 21 cast members making their Broadway debuts in the current revival of The Music Man.

Growing Up Broadway was started in 2017 by Dara Paige Bloomfield, a former Broadway kid herself who was in the original Broadway production of Ragtime as "The Little Girl". What was conceived as a one-off concert at 54 Below, has grown into multiple concert series including, "Back to Before: Former Broadway Kids Return to the Stage" and "Now and Then: Current & Former Broadway Kids Take the Stage", and "Switched: Current and Former Broadway Kids Trade Places!"

Aside from the shows, it has also grown into a community of current Broadway kids and former Broadway kids who all understand what's like to balance school, home work, and just being a regular kid with regular kid problems, all while doing 8 shows a week on some of the world's biggest stages!

Included in the current version of SWITCHED!: CURRENT & FORMER BROADWAY KIDS TRADE PLACES, which is Coming to 54 Below in September, is Drew Minard, currently starring on Broadway at the Winter Garden Theatre in The Music Man. More about it here from Broadway World:

Just after opening night last Tuesday, Feb. 20, actor and dancer Drew Minard realized that they had just played to their biggest crowd ever. They and the cast of Beetlejuice have taken over the Music Hall at Fair Park for Broadway Dallas until March 3.

This is a big time for the performer, this being their first tour since they were 12 years old and playing the title role in Billy Elliot. Now, at 23, Minard is serving up zombie realness in the touring musical Beetlejuice.
