Due to the shortened week with all Broadway shows being closed down on Saturday and Sunday, August 27 & 28, The Broadway League's weekly grosses report shows Irene cost Broadway shows a combined $8M:

Not good news. I wonder if insurance for lost earnings applies to events such as this?
