Anna-Jane Casey was fantastic at John Wilson's promenade concert last year. If my memory serves me correctly, she sang, among other things "Seven and a Half Cents" from "The Pajame Game" with Seth McFarlane, and brought the house down with the finale "Tap Your Troubles Away" from "Mack and Mabel". She has a strong voice and stage presence and should be a sassy and forceful Mrs. Wilkinson. I'm already looking at dates in June!

I think she is going to be great. I haven't been to the show for ages, but I think I might make the effort to go to see this new company.

Anna-Jane tweeted that today she has her tech rehearsal. Her debut as Mrs. Wilkinson is getting close:

"Today I'll take my 70's Texan hooker shoes and wend my merry way to my Billy Elliot tech...."

Anna-Jane Casey is appearing in Dublin at the National Concert Hall this Thursday. I won't be able to be there as I will be at a certain show in London. So, presumably, we shall not see Anna-Jane at the VPT.
