It's not like a stapled together, notes-in-the-margins copy previously owned by a cast member, it's just an official script you can buy. =) I got mine at the Broadway Cares Flea Market this past fall. $10.Eltonjohn wrote:Just curious... How were you able to your hands on a script? Lucky you!angelenroute wrote:I have my copy of the script here, so I'll write it.

Thanks everyone! I truly appreciate it!
I saw Drew Minard as Billy. I loved the entire play and cast!

Re: I HAVE A QUESTION?
When Billy has finished packing his suitcase, and Dad help him into his ubiquitous green/orange 1980s jacket, the last thing Dad gives him is something that looks like a rolled paper which Billy stuffs into his pocket. This is immediately before Billy leaps into his arms. I cannot work out what it is. The morning's copy of the 'The Morning Star'? The Sun? The London Underground map? The bus ticket? The seventeen pesos?
Any suggestions?

Re: I HAVE A QUESTION?
I have never seen Dad give Billy anything after the jacket. Is this something only in the London version?
:/
Re: I HAVE A QUESTION?
In North American shows, Dad gives Billy his pair of ballet slippers just before giving him the coat. Billy puts the slippers in the suitcase.

Re: I HAVE A QUESTION?
As far as I know nothing like this happens in the London show, although Dad does give Billy the ballet shoes when packing the suitcase.

Re: I HAVE A QUESTION?
Yes he does. But they are then packed in the suitcase, not put into his coat pocket.

Just 'shoes' apparently.LiamM wrote:In North American shows, Dad gives Billy his pair of ballet slippers just before giving him the coat. Billy puts the slippers in the suitcase.
I thought this was a nice touch (along with the brass miners lamp from Tony) symbolizing Mr. Elliot senior's support for his son's future endeavors is complete, i.e. he said he was 100% in support when challenged and interrogated by the audition panel. So actions in this scene spoke just as loudly as his earlier words.
BETM: "the most expensive school play ever."

Re: I have a question...
I'm pretty sure it's "Read it out."

Re: I HAVE A QUESTION?
Having seen the London show 'a few times' ( ha ha), I have always heard the line as ''Read it Out''.
