Re: Stripey Shirts Inquiry
My interpretation is that the reference is to Universities. Cantab ( Cambridge) and Oxon ( Oxford) are always referred to as the Light Blues and Dark Blues respectively. Whether it is the Annual University Boat Race, or the Rugby or Football matches between the two Universities each team will wear Light Blue or Dark Blue jerseys.

I should point out that Lee Hall went to Fitzwilliam College Cambridge, who wear red, when competing as an individual college.

If we're talking about school colors: What school does Posh Boy attend? Does he wear a rear school uniform or is it made-up for the show?
Re: Stripey Shirts Inquiry
Taking Harrison's photo(*) of him dressed as Posh Boy as a point of reference, the crested school blazer is a standard navy one with light blue/grey piping, not uncommon in inner/outer London prep schools (private, not State). The tie(**) is a traditional school (regimental striped) tie, depicting his school, his house, or his 'rank' within the school (prefect; 1st XV Rugby, etc.). Their appearance ties in with Posh Boy's 'poshness'; a privileged son of father who may be a stockbroker (hence the Financial Times), and from a world as far from Billy's as is possible.

I presume the uniform is made up and represents no particular school. The blazer's crest (***) is not that of the Royal Ballet School:

Since Posh Dad has the luxury of taking time off from work in order to escort his son to the audition, wearing a business suit on a working day, one can reasonably assume that PD and PB are part of London's stockbroker belt/privately educated set, a stereotype set against the northern mining stereotype of Billy and his Dad.

haha, love it Brian and thanks for letting me know. Wouldn't surprise me if Bradley has changed to the Light Blue Top full time now since both Elliott and Mitchell are wearing the Navy Blue. I shall get my weekly regular VP correspondent on the case to investigate and let us all know what colour top Bradley now wears.Go home Billy wrote:Thanks for the update, Keith, but the above statement is not quite true.KeefyM wrote:London Stripey Shirts Update
Bradley - Navy Blue (has worn since debut in November 2013)
The Light Blue Top is having a well earned rest.
At the Matinee on 30th November, Bradley definitely wore a Light Blue Top.
It was my first time seeing him perform so assumed this would be his normal colour. I commented specifically on its reappearance to other Forum members present, who had failed to notice and were totally oblivious of its recent absence. Palestines!
Re: Stripey Shirts Inquiry
Prehaps the tracking thread, in addition to tracking who is playing, should also track the color of shirt they are wearing.

Re: Stripey Shirts Inquiry
I think that we are getting desperate for any news, if the shirt color is the best that we can do. We really need BETM to open around the world to provide us with something more exciting.
