Not a review for everything has now been said on May 12th, it was my 3rd birthday at BETM, first time seeing a first night AND first time seeing the show from the Dress Circle ! No need to say I was a bit disappointed at the interval, thanks to the flattest audience I've ever seen. The DC was like ... dead during the first hour and and a half. Though Ollie certainly did the job perfectly ! What stroke me the most was his top-notch acting ... i have never been to a first night before, so I can't compare, but Ollie looked so confident, and so relaxed, he didn't look nervous at all, and that was quite impressive. I really enjoyed being in the DC, the sound is much much better and what can I say about Swan Lake ... fantastic ! The light effects along with the smoke, from the DC, look f-a-b-y. Props to the ballet girls who did an awesome job as usual, dealing perfectly with some hitches particularly in Shine. I was so relieved in the second half with a completely different audience, way more lively ahah - it would have been unfair not to see that standing ovation at the end of Electricity. What a surprise by the way, I expected a Ballet Billy, and was a bit confused at the beginning of the number, I was like : why the black shoes ? I understood when I saw the wall on the right, wohoooo, that gym-street version of Electricity is so spectacular, and the people like it ! Ollie's gonna get many fans in a near future for sure. The show is in safe hands, this is not by chance the booking period has been extended. Only managed to get 2 good photos, the rest is blurred - thanks to the staff for allowing the taking of photos at the CC.

Great comment and - as always - great pics, Rémi!

And many thanks to all other contributers for all those
great reviews and pics of that so memorable, enthusiastic,
and emotional 4th anniversary evening!
“It is a great show that people do come and see. Because it's not
just a show for adults, or just for children, or just for people that
like theatre, I'd say for everyone, and it's got so much emotion
behind it. Because who ever comes and sees it, feels the story -
so I think: it's brilliant!" (GM)
