Earlier this week Sam took part in industry readings of "The Me Nobody Knows", one step toward a possible commercial production.

He posted this selfie with choreographer Taye Diggs and others on the production team.

Sam also took part in an exploratory reading of the show back in May, before his BETM involvement. He has had quite a year so far!

Sam (and Noah) have been nominated for 2014 BroadwayWorld Maine Awards - Best Vocal Performance in a Musical:

and Best Dance Performance in a Musical:

BETM is doing well, but more votes are needed to push it over the top!

Sam will be again playing the title role in BETM when he stars in the NC Theatre original production of Billy Elliot that will run February 10 - 15, 2015 at Raleigh Memorial Auditorium in the Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts.

He will be fantastic, just as he was at Ogunquit.

Now............I know an amazing former 'Michael' living in Boston, who would need minimal rehearsal to work again with Sam................and Adam Pelty..............

In a tweet this morning, Sam reminds everyone that he'll be Billy in Raleigh in February and that tickets are on sale for the show there:

Sam was an outstanding Billy... definitely within the ranks of the others I've seen. I could never understand why the London show never snatched him up, outside of maybe his age.

I am wondering - how did the non-US Billys (Adam, for example) come to the attention of the London production? Was/is there a US agent (such as Nora Brennan) on the look out for potential London Billys - or was it happenstance through word of mouth and so on? I wonder if he was considered for the Tour?
