Lex Ishimoto - Billy, US Tour

Not sure how we all missed it but Lex is yet another Billy who performed in a production of "The Nutcracker" this season. This production was presented by Festival Ballet Theatre in Irvine, CA and ran from December 13 to 24:

Gosh - three years to the day when I saw his breathtaking performance at the Straz and his Talk Back with the audience after. What a confident, polite young man he was then - and is now. I think we shall hear a lot more about him in the future.

Interesting, Bill, I happen to be at that same performance and "talk back" at the Straz that you were. Too bad we had no knowledge of each other's presence at that time. it was a terrific weekend of shows for me having flown down from Indiana just for the shows, albeit, such a shame we Forum members would miss one another when such an opportunity arose.

That was quite an evening, Colin - and only my third occasion seeing BETM. I recall having a nice chat with Griffin Birney's mom at the talk back. I saw Daniel the previous Thursday and was so taken by BETM that I bought a ticket for the next night....and then the next Tuesday........it sort of sneaks up on you....but I did not join the Forum for another four days. Three years, 68 performances and some 3268 posts later, I still find this story - and this Forum with its great members - inspiring. I am looking forward to the next stage, as BETM becomes regional. Can't wait until it hits the schools!

Well Gents, I too saw Lex almost three years ago, here in Dallas, and he can take partial credit (blame?) for my addiction
I'm so proud that he has really branched out into all types of dance, especially ballet.
Looking forward to YAGP in New York to see how he fares in the finals..
