SHAKER HEIGHTS, Ohio -- After a $375,000 renovation, The Dealership welcomed its newest company into the building last week. It's the nationally acclaimed professional dance company Verb Ballets Center for Dance. It will serve as the new home base for the professional dance company, in addition to providing ample room for classes and workshops for the community. A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held Oct. 19, 2018 followed by a free musical theater dance class taught by Tony Award-winning dancer David Alvarez, who won for his role in "Billy Elliot: The Musical" in 2009.

David has been cast in Steven Spielberg and Tony Kushner's upcoming film adaptation of West Side Story. He will play Bernardo. Congrats David!!!

As had been previously announced, David will play Bernardo in Stephen Spielberg's film adaptation of West Side Story (see previous post in this thread).

Now it's been announced that the chorus of the film, playing members of the Jetts, will include five other former Billys: Ben Cook, Myles Erlick, Julian Elia, Patrick Higgins and Daniel Russell.

Yet another hard boiled cop is tasked with solving a murder in the upcoming Showtime series American Rust. American Rust will premiere on Showtime September 12 at 10 p.m. ET/PT. It will star Jeff Daniels as a down on his luck Chief of Police, Del Harris. David Alvarez has also been cast in the show.
