Did anyone go to the latest London Auditions for Billy/Michael, does anyone know the Audition process? How many Auditions do they have before they get into training?

I dont know if this is the same for Billy and michael but for the Ballet girls you go through 5 lots of Auditons before you are cast as one. My friend is a ballet girl in billy elliot and thats how i know.

There is an advert by Songtime Theatre Arts in The Stage today for BETM auditions.

'Songtime Theatre Arts are currently auditioning for the parts of Billy, Michael, boy dancers and older male leads for their 2010 performances of Billy Elliot at Richmond Theatre, Theatre Royal Windsor and New Theatre Woking'

The auditions are in Isleworth, Middlesex on Sunday 7th March and Tuesday 9th March.

Oh yes..I have read about these happening all over the country, youth theatres, part of the 5 year celebration with a show at the VP in July with a selection from all over.

Not really London, but auditions for Billy Youth Theatre will be held at Napa, the performing arts school that turned out Liam Mower, this weekend. I am sure they would love to produce another Billy.
