According to a tweet from hugsy2k, Gabe gave his final Broadway performance as Michael on Sunday evening.

Huh ?? This is sudden. Hadn't heard anything about his leaving. He only just arrived in New York about 3 months ago . . .

He was a replacement for Jake Schwencke while Jake was on leave to do the Charlie Chaplin show in California. Whether he will return to Chicago, or go on to Toronto, I don't know, but I suspect he might well show up in Toronto along with Dillon.

Hope he does continue with the show. I saw him in Chicago earlier this year and thought he did a great job.

For well over a week now, the cast list on the official web site for BETM Broadway has been listing Gabriel instead of Jake as one of the two Michaels despite Jake rather than Gabriel rotating with Neil.

It was several weeks ago I first saw Jake's public Facebook page message that he was leaving BETM at the end of this month. When Gabe's name appeared on the BETM Broadway cast page, I immediately thought that it might be related to Jake's impending departure.
