Billy connection - TV series

Last evening I was watching an episode of Inspector George Gently on BBC1 when I heard the unmistakable voice of Jackie Elliot growling from the TV set. Well, not quite Jackie, just Tim Healy. Next it was the turn of Paul Broughton to appear. After that I was waiting for Liam Mower to arrive on the scene but, alas, not.

The episode was set in a small fishing village in Co. Durham but the location was very familiar to me as it was actually what used to be a little seaside town on the coast of Co. Wicklow about 17 miles from Dublin. It's not actually a fishing village although when we were kids it used to be a great place to catch fish off the beach and pier. It looked like the whole episode was shot around the county.

It is on the BBC iPlayer for 6 days but, of course, this is not accessible from here.

Very good and complex story, BTW with a handpicked cast. The title of the episode is Bomber's Moon.
