Just announced on Jacob's Facebook fan page:

"Okay friends, family and Billy fans, it's official. Jacob has agreed to extend on the tour until July 1st. So, if you want to see him, come to LA, Des Moines, Appleton or Louisville. Jacob has cherished these two years with his incredible Billy family, and is grateful for the opportunities, education and support he has received on this unbelievable journey. Thank you all!"

Does this mean that he was going to leave soon, but is extending that until July 1? It's clearly not another 6-month contract. He is one of my favorite Michaels. I wonder how much of a cast change is in store during the show's long hiatus in May.

I suppose it really isn't up to us to speculate in this Forum, though we can mull it over in our minds. Like all chapters in one's life, there is a time to arrive, and a time to move on. Jacob is a brilliant Michael, of that there is no doubt, but there will be future triumphs for him, and for all the cast of BETM, after they decide it is right to move on.

Per his post on his official Facebook fanpage, tonight's performance in Des Moines will mark the 250th time Jacob has played Michael in BETM.
