They were excellent! If that won't get more Red Sox fans to see the show, I don't know what will!

Here's a nice interview with Rich:

I notice that in the "Fun Facts," the article did not add in the Korean Billys. :?

Some how I knew this would be a special weekend for me. I just had a wonderful conversation with Rich Hebert. He is a charming and friendly man who really loves the role he has as Billy,s Dad. He generously gave me a full 12 min of his time and told me some wonderful and interesting things. I probably should have known that he played the role of Javet in Les Miz for two years. But he said that role and this role have been the highlight of his acting life. He said that some states don,t allow the Billy,s to fly and that some won,t let the kids be in a long show so they had to cut the final big dance number. He talked about how special all the Billy,s are to him and how he will miss Zach.

I mentioned the Forum and he said he did not know of it. I told him he should check it out that the forum members were big fans of his.

A few things I forgot to mention about my conversation with Rich. He said that there may be a few more stops after Hartford. He said that after those few that the tour would continue but it would then be non-union and would be very different (I don,t think that ment for the better).

No, that doesn't sound good. :?

As for the states that don't allow the kids to fly, that was discussed in the reviews of Philadelphia and Pittsburgh, because Pennsylvania is the only state so far that has had that restriction.

As for cutting the finale, I don't think that has ever happened except when the show ran long because of technical problems, and it would have been cut anyway to avoid having to keep local musicians over the time they were being paid for. If the finale had to be cut to avoid keeping the kids on longer than the time allotted by a particular state--as opposed to the company's rules--then the finale would have had to be cut from every show during any run in that state, and that has not happened to my knowledge.
