Thanks Keefy for that info.
And thanks for posting the girls names as no one bothered to do that at the actual show. They only mentioned them as "The Matildas" which I find disrespectful. They wouldn't do that to 4 adults now, would they??

I am so happy for this show and everyone involved. Can not wait to for it to come to Broadway. Congrats to Peter Darling again for winning the same award with four lovely girls. When the committee of the awards did not name those four girls, but the press was on it. Trying to find those four girls speech. Wishing all the best to two of the Matilda's that are leaving <3 :(

I was hoping to see The Wizard of Oz win best revival, loved the show so much. Wish they can film Sophie as Dorothy. My other choice of best Revival would have been Singin in the Rain.

Thrilled to bits and thoroughly deserved.

I only caught the tail-end of Peter Darling's speech but I'm sure he mentioned a few of BETM's dance team Lee Proud, Damian Jackson, Alan Bradshaw and Mike Scott in his thanks list.

He did mention everyone Pat. He actually said something like "I want to thank everyone in Matilda and Billy Elliott for their help" and then went on to naming all those people and more.

I have to say that the Oliviers ceremony has come a looooooong way since the one in 2006 where BETM won Best Musical and the three Billys won for Best Actor in a Musical. That was in a ballroom at a hotel, not even in a theatre.

Ellen, come to London again soon - the theatre scene is buzzing and you would not think the country is in a post-recession. In fact, anyone emerging from Victoria tube station after a gap of a few years might think they have landed decades into the future, with all of the modernist construction going on. VPT will soon look like a museum piece between all the steel and glass. At the moment, it looks like the last building standing among all the demolition rubble!

Thanks for posting that, David. Great to hear these unsung heroes of Billy being mentioned so prominently at awards time :D
