Not only did this woman fail to do even the most minimal research about the show before going to see it, and not bother to read the background in the Playbill until mid-show, when she claims she finally got a clue, but she couldn't even get the characters' names right (e.g. Mrs. Hawkinson  ). Scratch that review as ignorant in the truest sense of the word! :?

Ignorant for sure! I guess it is nice that it was a favorable review but she sounds like an idiot.

Her last sentence in the review really left me puzzled: "I’m not sure that the outstanding imagery and dance in this production are enough to thrust it into the Broadway canon any time soon, but this year, it left an impression. "

Surely she's not saying that she doesn't think the positive qualities of the show are enough to garner it a spot on Broadway any time soon. Did she miss the Tony Awards last year?? Hello . . . it's been on Broadway for 2 years already ! And what does that mean about "this year, it left an impression" ? Is she saying that it got people's attention in 2010 so that next year, it might be able to find some success?? Very strange and hard to figure out. . . .especially when her review of the show suddenly morphed into a discussion on vaudeville.

As for the "Mrs. Hawkinson" gaffe, it would seem she was too lazy to even consult her Playbill to check on the correct names of the characters.
