The man is a genius and he is simply an outstanding artist. Think of all his hits, his Broadway success, and philanthropy. Although he was a little mean to Madonna, I won't hold it against him too much because he is Sir Elton John. I had the privilege of seeing him in concert in March and let me tell you, he still has IT! I was even lucky enough to get his autograph on my ticket. I'm sure if he wanted to, he could part the sea (just kidding)!

Elton and his partner David Furnish recently welcomed their second son to the family. Elijah Joseph Daniel Furnish-John arrived in Los Angeles via surrogate Friday evening, weighing in at 8 pounds, 4 ounces. Congratulations to the happy family: Elton, David, and older brother Zachary.

I'm not sure if any of you have seen it or heard of it, but the Alberta Ballet produced a Ballet chronicling the life of Elton John, and set to his music. It has been performed a number of times over the last couple years, and also filmed and shown on CBC in a reduced one hour version.
I'm not sure if any of it has popped up on youtube, or maybe it's even on the CBCs website. but you guys may want to check it out, as it was quite good.
