Elton John

I'm not sure if any of you have seen it or heard of it, but the Alberta Ballet produced a Ballet chronicling the life of Elton John, and set to his music. It has been performed a number of times over the last couple years, and also filmed and shown on CBC in a reduced one hour version.
I'm not sure if any of it has popped up on youtube, or maybe it's even on the CBCs website. but you guys may want to check it out, as it was quite good.

One used to be able to watch the 45 minute version online (search: http://www.cbc.ca/player) but the link is dead when I checked it just now.

I was able to see the Alberta Ballet performance in Vancouver, at the same venue as for BETM a couple of weeks ago, Vancouver's QE Theatre.

LLB also has a 'small boy' (very young Elton) who rides a tricycle on stage. Also there is the use of a high wire to suspend the protagonist in the air in one of the 'numbers'. The lead dancer playing the role of EJ is a guy of Japanese ethnicity.

Following up on the posts from July which noted Elton had to postpone some concerts due to appendicitis. According to this article he had surgery last week in Monaco and is now recovering. Best wishes for a complete and speedy recovery Elton!
