Jake Epstein - Tony

From this tweet on Jake Epstein's public twitter, it appears one actor who didn't do the extension of contract after July 5th is Patrick Mulvey, who has played Tony in the Toronto production from that cast's first show in Chicago.
Jake will be taking over that role on that day:
"If you haven't seen it, get your tix for Billy Elliot in Toronto... I'm playing Billy's brother until the end of the Summer. I start July 5."

It was not Jake. He is not currently with the show and won't debut until July 5th. You most like saw a member of the ensemble who acts as the U/S to Tony.

Completely agree with your review of Jake. He was fantastic. My wife and I gave him a standing ovation as well but we were way in the back.

Ah sorry. The guy in the couple behind me seemed to guess out of the blue that I'd been to 37 shows, so I figured forum and he kind of looked like your facebook picture.
