Lee Hall and Simon Beaufoy (The Full Monty) are co-writing the screenplay for a film about cricketer Harold Larwood, he of the infamous 'Bodyline' scandal (Larwood was an ex-miner). The Bodyline Scandal involved high speed bowling that endangered the batter, during the UK/Australia Ashes matches.

Okay, after listening to this (and I'd heard of this before), I believe I would like to add another "prop" from Billy Elliot history to my wish list. Something tells me it'll never be mine, ;) but I'd love to at least see it sometime! Lee, if there's any chance you see this, please know I adore you and this character/world you've fashioned, and do hope you share this "prop" online at least at some point! :D
