Neither Lambert, 18, nor Wilkinson, 16, have a history of dance in their families and have often been referred to as Billy Elliots.
"I actually made the final auditions of Billy Elliot the stage musical a few years ago but I had never learnt ballet," Wilkinson said.
He soon made up for lost time and along with Lambert has set his sights on an overseas ballet company.
