This is not exactly about the last show, but a lament that the show closed:

This is the best recording I have seen of the special finale after the curtain call. It starts with the four current Billys doing a bit from "Express". Then the eight former Billys storm on, each doing something unique. There was so much action on stage, and it all happened so fast, that no one could catch all of it.

Watch closely at the 12 second mark when Tommy Batchelor runs up the left wall and does a flip off of it. I had to replay that segment at least a dozen times to believe what I was seeing. Maybe he was auditioning for Spiderman.

The official BETM Facebook page has a good summary of the last show of BETM Broadway:

Here is a video that surfaced today of the Billys rehearsing the final curtain call, including the moment when all 12 are on stage. Enjoy! :D

This Playbill article covering the closing of Follies this past Sunday should bring about a few chuckles for us BETM superfans who were at the Imperial January 8th. The piece is written by Kenneth Jones, apparently the Managing Editor of Playbill.com, and one has to wonder how the writeup of BETM's closing might have appeared if Mr. Jones had attended.

A couple of my favorites:
Among the extended ovations for the musical numbers was one genuine stop-the-show, leap-to-your-feet experience. Following the so-called mirror song, "Who's That Woman," ... the crowd (as they say) went wild.
Let's see. Genuine stop-the-show, leap-to-your-feet experience, crowd going wild. I'd say we had five. And a half. After the 4-Billy synchronized pirouettes at the end of Solidarity. Expressing Yourself. Born To Boogie. Dream Ballet. And Electricity. Angry Dance would be the half only because of the technicality that it did not stop the show.

And
A woman with a Southern drawl in row G, house right, exclaimed, "I think some of the people here have seen this show before, like maybe five times!"
Bloody N00BS!
