hmmm ... I didn't notice any audience members "taken aback" by the language. I actually found the San Antonio audiences to be incredibly positive and supportive, great applause and ovations, laughing quite loud, etc.

The Majestic was rocking last night, I was so pleased to see Kylend's name on the board, and he really delivered. This guy just gets better and better, and he was really good to start with.
BEtourfan is spot on, there was no one "taken aback" by the language that I could see. Folks from South Texas are not offended by a little "cussin", that's for sure.
The grand old theatre was full, I didn't see any empty seats at all, and the audiance stood for the entire finale,
We had great seats, 4 aisles back from the stage and right on the aisle that the kids go up and down; at the end, the tears were coming down Kylend's face as he walked up the aisle, and then with "oy, dancin boy" he lit up like a flashlight, it was really moving.
Darn it, I had to get back home to Dallas for a meeting today, wish I could have spent the week-end, but at least I got my March "Billy fix" and now will have to wait until May.

These reviews are the result of the reviewers being better informed. They will make the public want to drive to Austin or, at least, buy tickets when BETM returns. The show is starting to take off nationally.

Here's a brief, but positive, review of the show in San Antonio from Broadwayworld.com. It also contains a promo for the show's appearance in Austin in December:

I got back from a fun filled four day trip to San Antonio. I had a major Billy-a-thon. I saw 6 shows in 4 days. It was an amazing time. I got to see Kylend twice, Ty and JP once and Zach twice.
