Daniel Russell--Billy: Oz & US Tour

Daniel Russell. I've never had the pleasure of seeing him perform, although I did hear a small part of his performance live in January of this year in Charlotte, as the production's sound was piped into the lobby there...but I don't think that counts.

I'll always remember Daniel as the "happy" Billy. I've never seen any other actor with such a happy face all during the Dream Ballet. Daniel has such an infectious smile. He'll be missed.

Agreed stunning photos. For fans of Daniel this backstage clip includes the tour cast singing happy birthday to Daniel.

BTW Daniel is not returning home to middle of winter, more like the start of spring.

Great set of photos! I understand Daniel has returned to Australia - a well deserved return home after nearly a year away. Except it is late winter!

Unless someone can provide a public statement of just where Daniel is, or can say they have permission from him or his family to post his whereabouts, this should be considered as speculation.

Daniel was definitely an awesome Billy Elliot, and you are right he has an infectious smile. He even gives autographs with a smiley face attached!!

I would certainly expect him to be in Australia now, as confirmed by the photos. This is November. The original post was on August 27, not long after the tour went on hiatus. Not quite so clear then.
