Sam's mother, Mindy, posted this very nice blog on May 20 about kids in show business growing up. I think we know who she means when she talks about her boy who can no longer play a 10 year old.

Congratulations to Sam and all the cast of The King and I, for winning the 2015 Tony for Best Revival of a Musical, as well as the Drama Desk Award for the Outstanding Revival of a Musical.
According to last Saturday's "Daily Telegraph", "Boychoir", which has been retitled "The Choir", will be released in UK cinemas on Friday 10th July 2015. Here is a review of the film from London City Nights:
According to Sam's public Facebook Fan Page, and his Mom, he will be performing the role of Prince Chulalonghorn in Broadway's King and I in all shows September 1-6. If you are able to get to NYC, this may be your last chance to see him perform on Broadway in the near future.
From Sam: "I have decided to leave working on The King and I on Broadway full time to fully immerse myself in LaGuardia High School as a drama major. I have absolutely LOVED being on this show with amazing people, and am so grateful for the experience."
This is a very mature and difficult decision, but I am sure we will see more of his amazing talent in the future.
Reading the comments to and from Sam makes me appreciate what a well-grounded young man he is. That is one of the great things about this show - the kids seem to come out of it as grounded, focused and really quite normal.
