Look Jackie, something very strange is going on here.

For the last 3 weeks Ben has done only 1 show per week and it is always the 7th show of the week. In the past I don't recall Billys who are ending their run in the show having reduced schedules. Any ideas?

For the last 3 weeks Ben has done only 1 show per week and it is always the 7th show of the week. In the past I don't recall Billys who are ending their run in the show having reduced schedules. Any ideas?

This is sort of a unique set of circumstances, as the tour is ending and it's clear they aren't going to replace Ben when he leaves.

The reduced performance schedule for him I believe does two things for the show:

1) It provides a gradual transition for the other three Billys to a 3-Billy rotation (which will be the case once Ben is gone);
2) It provides insurance for all but the final three weeks of the tour against one of the other Billys getting sick or having an injury.

The fact that he's been doing one of the Saturday or Sunday shows every week makes sense, as earlier in the week the other three Billys can cover the shows without doing back-to-back days, whereas they need four Billys on the weekend to prevent that from happening.

Though we can only guess, this is a great reminder!
