The 'board'... Is that showbiz jargon for who is cast for the next, upcoming performance?

I realize there can be very last minute substitutions or however this is referred to announced closer to curtain time, but generally speaking, just how long in advance of curtain rise is the 'daily specials' board chalked in and the cast announced?

Is there a list somewher of all the FB i.d.s one can follow for the tour company?

So if one was to want to get to see as many different cast members as possible in the short time that the show is in town, then I am supposing that it is best to book for consecutive shows back to back, tho' there's no guarantee of avoiding repeaters. (I'm new to all of this rotating cast stuff, so thanks for your patience in explaining what must be basic knowhow to hardcore fans and followers.)

BTW I'm not trying to zero in on anyone in particular, but rather trying to avoid seeing some performers more than once while missing some others... just trying to maximize my chances of seeing as many as I can fit into my limited budget.

There is a cast board that is posted on a big easel in the lobby of the theatre before each performance. The time it is posted will vary a little by location but it is usually up before the doors open to the public for that day's show -- usually an hour to an hour and a half before curtain. In the case of the tour, the board lists the entire cast in alphabetical order at the top and then below that a list specific to the day's performance listing the actors performing in the alternating roles (i.e. Billy, Michael, Tall Boy etc) and any understudies performing in place of regular cast for that day's show.

With the tour, all things being "normal" for a given week, your best bet to see all four Billys and both Michaels is to book four consecutive shows -- as you've suggested. Excluding situations of illness or injury, almost always if you book both shows on Saturdays and Sundays you'll accomplish that.
