Hedwig and the Angry Inch
Neil Patrick Harris will return to Broadway next Spring in a musical called Hedwig and the Angry Inch, which was originally presented Off Broadway in the 1990s:

This is exciting news. I love both the stage and movie versions of "Hedwig". NPH is very talented, but this role will definitely be a new dimension for him.

Re: Hedwig and the Angry Inch
I always go for Ben Brantley's reviews first since he is the "make it or break it" critic for Broadway. Clearly this version of "Hedwig" with NPH will make it big if Brantley has anything to do with it.

NPH departs the show August 17th. Andrew Rannels (of Book of Mormon fame) takes over August 20th. I see this as good news. Rannels played the role in Austin in 2002. The article below has a Youtube video of him singing "The Origin of Love" in a concert.

Re: Hedwig and the Angry Inch
Tonight I had the pleasure of seeing "Hedwig" with Andrew Rannels. He has only been in the role for two weeks, but he was amazing!
He is only in the show for six more weeks, so try to catch him if you get a chance. They have not yet named who will take over the show in October.

Did you see NPH in it earlier, or was this your first time seeing this production?

This was my first time seeing this production, although I had seen a regional production back home about 10 year ago. I had hoped to see NPH but could not make it to NYC during his run. I was very pleased with how Andrew Rannels handled the role.

Re: Hedwig and the Angry Inch
forgetting the famous stars, what do you think of the show itself? From what I've seen, it doesn't really appeal to me so much. But maybe I'm wrong. The show kindof strikes me as being like Rock of Ages, which I really disliked.
