Susan Haefner, former u/s Mrs. Wilkinson and Clipboard Lady on the International Tour of Billy Elliot, is listed in the cast of 42nd Street at Weston Playhouse in Vermont. The show runs from August 1st (Preview) to August 24th, and Susan will be playing the role of Dorothy Brock.

Weston Playhouse is a fantastic theatre in absolutely beautiful Weston, Vermont, 4.5 hours north of NYC. I saw Christopher Lloyd perform there as Willy Loman in Death of a Salesman a couple of years ago.

The Playhouse building was ravaged by Tropical Storm Irene in August 2011. I was one town away from there in Ludlow, Vermont when the storm hit us. From inside our lake house rental, I watched in horror as the waters of the lake we were staying on rose close to 7 feet in front of us, as mudslides threatened the rear of the house as well. Entire homes were washed away, lives lost, and roads totally washed away, leaving us and many people all over the state trapped. Suffice it to say, Vermont (and Ludlow and Weston themselves) have completely bounced back now, and if you're ever able to attend one of the fantastic shows there in Weston, please do so! It's a beautiful, comfortable, state-of-the-art theatre in the middle of a completely idyllic landscape of gorgeous Vermont.

Info and tickets to 42nd Street can be found at:

Note that Weston is also performing Next To Normal through July 27th and To Kill A Mockingbird from August 29th through September 7th.
