I know there have been previous posts in Spencer Milford's thread about his new project, but I thought it was high time the show had a thread of it's own.
Last night was a kickoff event for The Winslow Boy, the new Broadway show starring Spencer in the title role. Here's a picture of Spencer and his understudy at last night's event:

The new marquee was also installed for the show too:

The Roundabout Theatre, producers of The Winslow Boy, have put together a video entitled The Winslow Boy - About The Show:

Re: The Winslow Boy
I saw "The Winslow Boy" yesterday afternoon in New York and thought it was an excellent production. I'm typically more of a fan of musicals than plays, but this was a very intelligent and well-acted show with an intriguing premise that really held your interest. It was a British story set in the years just before World War I which I believe used to be referred to as a drawing-room play. All the lead characters had a great deal of dialogue to remember and did a flawless job of delivering their lines. In keeping with the old-fashioned feel of the play, the actors didn't appear to wear microphones but rather spoke loudly, much like a play would have been presented in the early 1900's. The one downside to that was that some of the lines were lost when the actor was facing away from where you happened to be sitting.
Spencer Milford did a very fine job as the title character. While he wasn't on stage as much as the other four lead actors, he made the most of his time and was very convincing in displaying a variety of emotions - all with a posh London accent. After the show was over, Spencer and the other two actors who played his older brother and sister took part in a talk-back session with the audience. Interestingly, the moderator asked Spencer if his time in "Billy Elliot" helped him with his British accent in this show. He explained that the two accents were quite different, as he had to break his habit of speaking "Geordie" when he began rehearsing and learn how to speak in a more posh accent. He seems to have mastered it quite well, as I never heard him sound American when saying any of his lines.

Re: The Winslow Boy
Like many, I was sadden by the passing of Roger Rees, whom I greatly enjoyed in "The Winslow Boy". Spencer Milford posted a very nice tribute on his Instagram, along with a few photos from their time together in the show:

The news may have been missed by some, coming on the heals of Omar Sharif's passing the day before. For those not aware of Roger Rees' passing:
